Experience

So how did I get to become a combat specialist and start this exciting new practice. It all starts at the age of 6 when I joined a karate club that specialized in Chin-na' - Kenpo. Luckily The club I joined had been started by the head of the American Chin-na' association David Rix who is well known in the circle of Martial Arts. As I grew up I realized that I was excelling in Martial arts over other sports, so I devoted all my effort to Martial Arts. I picked up teaching at the age of 13 and going 3 or 4 nights a week for 5 to 6 years I became extremely efficient as an instructor and student. The one thing that helped me the most was the diversity of the students age, skill and esp size that I taught and practiced with.

At the age of 18 I was promoted to chief instructor and given my own class through the A.A.C Park N Rec. with the help of my Father (Les Blizzard -Club Director-) and some great instructors we have expanded to 5 schools (Dragon Storm Karate Club). During this time I started competing with other students in the class and out side the class. It was outside the class where I found out what really works and to whom it works on. In a ring against one attacker who you've trained for and studied against is not even close to the real worlds sudden and possible multiple attackers to whom you probably never met. At least now with our course you can be prepared to defend yourself in those situations.

Having friends with big mouths and being a little open my self put me in a lot of circumstances that majority of people never experience. I can honestly say that for a good part of my teens and early twenties I could expect some fight, big or small every weekend like clock work. I myself have been jumped, sucker punched and out sized more times than I can count, each time honing my skills and prevailing more than not. Competing back in the class room became a joke, except with some students with the same experiences. Combining there experiences with mine, we increased are awareness and speed of to the point of accurate and instinctive dominance. For the past ten years we've been altering some basic non effective concepts from different styles and integrating them into an effective one for all people. Showing this practice to random people and through word of mouth we became known for our effective style of combat.

It was then when we realized we needed to offer this effective understanding of combat to the world to help properly train groups or individuals that are in need. With our understanding of Criminal Law, years or Security Training and Bar Management and a Background from the US Marines and our Armed Forces, we figured out we could offer even more than an effective combat training but education in these fields as well. So we devised courses for different fields and individuals to get certified in to increase awareness, confidence, education and proper combat tactics to survive in this world.
